Elevate your Vitality

Vitality is the natural radiance of our being when the energy flows through us with ease. When we experience vitality, we feel fully alive and energised. We act from inspiration rather than necessity or need which in turn powers us even more. According to the ancient Indian texts, we hold 72,000 nadis (subtle channels) in the human body. They form a structure that enables the energy to flow, a bit like the circulatory system but on a much more subtle level. When the natural flow gets restricted and certain areas get stagnant, this is when we might feel our energy decreasing. We all know that busy & stressful lifestyle as well as the lack of Sun during the winter months make it more challenging to sustain our energy levels. A regular Kundalini yoga & Meditation practice can help us to gradually restore balance to our whole being and revitalise our energy.

This 6 week course will focus on yogic postures, movement and breathing that will help you take your vitality and wellbeing to the next level. The classes are designed so that you build strength and flexibility but also release deeply stored tension from the body and mind. We all deserve to feel great and be our best selves and Kundalini yoga provides us with powerful tools to support that.

CAN I ATTEND AS A BEGINNER?

This class is inclusive of all levels. Different variations are provided to cater to each individual’s needs so that you can do the postures comfortably.

It is a friendly and supportive space for you to relax and come back to yourself.

If you have any pre-existing injuries or health concerns and are not sure whether the practice would be suitable to you, feel free to get in touch.

Contraindications: unfortunately, this course is not suitable for pregnant women, if you have a pacemaker or a history of epilepsy.

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini refers to the spiritual energy that lies dormant at the base of the spine. When engaged, it rises to the top of the head awakening and balancing all the energy centres (chakras). In a Kundalini Yoga class, we blend yogic postures, movement, breathwork, meditation, and chanting in order to awaken the Kundalini. This is a transformative spiritual experience and you get to develop physical strength, endurance and flexibility along the way.

A Somatic Approach

A somatic approach involves the art of slowing down and deepening our connection with our bodies and breath, which in turn enables us to embrace and experience our emotions. Within this nurturing and empathetic environment we are able to see and hear the parts of us that are ready to show themselves. We offer our unconditional presence and love regardless of what comes up and by doing this, help integrate the experience.

Meditation

Experience stillness and inner peace through ancient meditative practices. We incorporate beautiful and powerful mantras, mudras (finger positions), visualisation, movement, and moments of silence to explore different parts of our being and access expanded states of awareness.

Sound Healing

At the end of the class, immerse yourself in a tranquil experience with a healing sound bath. Let the soothing vibrations of the crystal bowls wash over you, easing tension and allowing you to deeply relax.

Breathwork

In this class, you will learn to connect with your breath in a mindful way. Breathwork has numerous benefits, including better sleep, increased lung capacity, heightened self-awareness and intuition, improved emotional regulation, and a stronger immune system.

Astrology

We look to the planetary alignments in the sky to see how they influence our experience here on Earth (as above so below). So much is shifting collectively and individually at the moment! Kristina will take a few minutes at the beginning of the class to give you the juiciest highlights of the week and a few tips of how to best utilise celestial energies in your every day life.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

It is important to note that Kundalini Yoga classes may have a more spiritual and mystical atmosphere compared to other styles of yoga. Participants are encouraged to approach the practice with an open mind and a willingness to explore the depths of their inner selves. Be prepared for a unique and transformative experience that can have a profound impact on your physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.

WHAT TO BRING?

  • A yoga mat (if you do not own a mat, spares are also available at the venue )
  • Blanket or shawl to cover yourself during deep relaxation
  • A bottle of water to stay hydrated
  • If you have a yoga cushion or yoga blocks, they will come in useful (some spares are available at the venue)

HOW TO PREPARE FOR THE CLASS?

For a smoother yogic practice, it is recommended to avoid having a meal at least a couple of hours before the session. To keep your energy levels up, I suggest to go for a light snack or a piece of fruit instead.

Wear comfortable loose clothing that you can easily move in.

You can park for FREE at the Castle Street Car Park, CF47 8UB. Please use the outside car park rather than the multi storey as it gets locked at night.
